Deleting your Data Virtualization instance and removing your data
Data Virtualization instances are soft-deleted in production whenever you delete the instance in IBM® Cloud.
The instance stays in the soft-delete state for up to 3 days before it is fully deleted in IBM Cloud. If your instance is not fully deleted, you can re-enable the existing soft-deleted instance.
Deleting your instance in the user interface
To delete your Data Virtualization instance, click Delete in the action menu from the Resource list of the IBM Cloud dashboard or select your instance and click Delete service in the Actions menu.

You can delete your existing Data
Virtualization instance
by using the ibmcloud resource service-instance-delete
command.

command deletes a reclaimed

To discover available soft-deleted instances, use the IBM Cloud CLI ibmcloud resource reclamations
command.
You can then undelete, recover, or reclaim an available soft-deleted instance by using the ibmcloud resource reclamation-restore
command.
